This full-time position will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm with no holidays, evenings or weekends required!

As a Medical Assistant you will:

Guide Workflow: Direct and coordinate the daily tasks of clinical staff, ensuring efficient patient care delivery and adherence to established protocols.

• Supervisory Support: Assist management staff in supervisory activities, including mentoring, orienting, and providing ongoing training to current and new staff members.

Departmental Leadership: Collaborate with management to develop and implement departmental goals, processes, and procedures to enhance service quality and patient safety.

Epic Care Super User: Serve as the departmental super user for Epic Care, providing expertise in electronic health record management and optimization.

Quality Improvement: Work closely with the Manager to identify opportunities for improvement in clinical and non-clinical functions, infection control procedures, and patient assessments.

Communication and Education: Conduct routine meetings with staff to communicate procedural changes, provide education, and ensure adherence to best practices.

Patient Care: Assist physicians with patient care activities, including obtaining medical records, scheduling appointments, preparing exam rooms, and performing clinical procedures.

Patient Education: Provide individualized patient and family education and supportive counseling as needed, ensuring understanding of treatment plans and follow-up care.

Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative duties such as answering calls, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies' requirements (OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health) and maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and patient data.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program (LPN/RN/EMT)
• OR successful completion of certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA)
• OR at least 1 year of patient care experience required.
• Must be responsible and demonstrate proficiency in three practice category specific tasks.
• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred but not required
  
  Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
• CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
• CCM training is required within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34 with renewal
• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
