JOB PURPOSE:
The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will lead the FP&A team and drive the financial strategy, planning, and analysis activities of DRB. This critical role provides senior management with financial insights and projections for strategic decision-making. The Director will oversee the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring budgeted investments are thoroughly vetted with sound financial analysis. They will implement processes, tools, and controls to align investments with strategic goals and meet financial performance targets. Additionally, the Director will work to maintain financial results in line with budgets and forecasts, deploying countermeasures as needed to achieve targeted financial outcomes.

Strategic Planning and Analysis:
- Lead the development of financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
- Provide insights, recommendations to senior management, and decisions based on financial analysis and projections.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop long-term financial strategies and objectives.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Oversee the annual budgeting process, including the development of detailed financial plans.
- Manage the quarterly forecasting process to ensure accurate and timely financial projections.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and other financial reporting requirements for publicly traded companies.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
Performance Management:
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the company’s financial performance.
- Implement and maintain financial systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Conduct financial performance reviews and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team members.
Business Partnership:
- Act as a strategic partner to business units, providing financial guidance and support.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position leads a small team of skilled professionals.
Human relations
This position interacts with Senior Leaders, both internal and external customers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, MBA and /or CPA preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience required, with 3 years leading a team preferred
- Advanced experience in business modeling, management reporting, and operational metrics
- Hands-on experience with building effective financial reporting and analysis tools and databases
- Effective leader with strong interpersonal, leadership and management skills with a strong team orientation
- Ability to build trust and credibility with senior business partners
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
Skill Sets:
- Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create and generate reports, track metrics, and achieve compelling storytelling for internal and external customers
- Ability to champion change and continuous improvement
- High ethical standards and integrity
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards and SEC regulations
- Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems (Acumatica)
- Strong emotional intelligence, leadership, and team coaching skills
- Highly Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
