Job Abstract

Our client is a family owned and operated business that has been a fixture in the lighting and electrical supply industry throughout the Washington, DC metro area for the better part of the last century. They are seeking a Entry-Level Sales/ Estimator.

Compensation: $48,000 + DOE
Location: Chantilly, VA
Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:00a – 3:30p Hybrid 3in/2home

Estimator Responsibilities:

• Read and understand electrical and architectural drawings.
• Identify discrepancies in drawings, fixture schedules and lighting specifications.
• Provide accurate and timely fixture and lighting control material lists.
• Request pricing and lead times through manufacturer and reps
• Work diligently with all divisions of our Commercial Lighting and Outside Sales team.

Estimator Requirements:

• Dynamic, up-beat personality with collaborative mind-set
• Be self-motivated and self-structured
• Must be detail oriented
• Must maintain focus for time management
• *Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel

• 1-3+ years of estimating experience
• Experience in reviewing construction plans, specifications, and other related construction documents.
• Experience with Bluebeam
• Electrical field experience a plus, but not a necessity
• Have some knowledge of lighting controls.
