The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for handling general sales and catering inquiries while providing administrative support to the sales and special events team.
General Responsibilities Include:
Answer telephones, filter sales inquires and forward to proper manager
Perform word-processing, typing, emailing, data entry, filing, copying, and taking notes
Works with Events team to prepare Banquet Event Order Packet, BEOs with F&B team
Provide administrative support for all Sales and Catering managers
Ordering and organizing office supplies
Communicating Daily Events and Groups in house through internal communications
Skills/Knowledge Required:
The ability to listen to, assess, and appropriately respond to information conveyed through speech
The ability to convey technical information through writing to a nontechnical audience so the recipients easily understand the information and can quickly and correctly apply it.
The ability to exercise the personal discipline and extra diligence to assure that projects are completed on timely basis.
The ability to subordinate one’s personal agenda in favor of working collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental goals
The ability to motivate and inspire others to work cooperatively to achieve a designated goal.
The ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data.
Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
Strong computer literacy, with knowledge of Word, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
Exceptional communication skills, passionate, strategic and innovative
Able to develop strong work relationships with both Clients and Colleagues
Self-confident, proactive, and able to prioritize and make effective decisions
Opera and creating banquet event orders skills not required but preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit at a desk, walk, and stand for up to four (4) hours
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
Qualification Standards:
Education: High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
