The Field Trainer is responsible for conducting route observations throughout the region. Additionally, they will be responsible for assisting the Driver Training Center in Georgia by conducting the road course training. The Field Trainer will determine the driver's competence for the vehicle to which he or she is assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Conduct route observations.
Observe the trainee's performance of the assigned operation to confirm understanding and competence.
Conduct the road course training at Driver Training Center
Fill in for the classroom trainer when he or she is not available.
Notify Operations of the results of daily on route, observations.
Regularly communicate with Regional Safety Manager regarding scheduling
Promote a strong culture of safety and environmental stewardship in compliance with applicable Company policies and procedures encompassing federal, state, local rules, and regulations.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.

Education and Experience
Valid class A or B commercial driver's license with the proven ability to operate all types of vehicles and equipment used in waste, recyclable and horticultural collectio
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the transportation, management, logistics or waste industry as a trainer with the ability to mentor and teach skill; or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of
years' experience in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations in which coaching and training are requirements of the role. Waste Industry experience preferred
Excellent safety record and a proven commitment to safet
High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented with ability to work cross-functionally within an organization.
Excellent communication skills with the demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and foster a compliant safety-first culture.
Strong personal computer skills in a network environment; Microsoft Office, Outlook.
Strong planning/organizational, time management and problem solving skills.
English / Spanish Bilingual preferre
Smith System Certification (recommended)
