About the Team
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team at Stitch Fix is responsible for the company’s vision and strategy for driving equitable outcomes across functions. Since its founding, Stitch Fix has prioritized principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion and is now focused on explicitly bringing those principles into a cross-company strategy. Our team leads that work in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team. We prioritize centering the voices of the most marginalized groups, partner to design systems that are optimized for equity, and co-create content and programming to build DEI capacity across the company. We are equal parts advisors and doers, and we hold ourselves and our partners across the company accountable for driving systemic change.
About the Role
As DEI Senior Manager, you will be the leader of the DEI function and in addition to managing a DEI Program Manager, you will work closely with the rest of the People & Culture leadership team, cross-functional partners, and leaders across the company to sharpen and embed aspects of Stitch Fix’s DEI strategy in everything we do. This includes continuing the team’s work to drive execution and accountability against our DEI strategy, evolving DEI specific training and development opportunities, and managing and maximizing engagement and impact of Stitch Fix Communities (our 7 Employee Resource Groups).
You will have an opportunity to bring your systems mindset and strong influencing skills to guide partners across the company to re-imagine their work through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion - from internal people practices, to product strategy, to how we show up to our clients. Your DEI subject matter expertise and skill working through complex problems will allow you to design and level-up strategies that create an equitable environment for everyone.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Be an integral part of evolving and institutionalizing Stitch Fix’s DEI strategy.
- Bring thought leadership, tailored insights, and strategic perspective to fostering inclusion, increasing diversity, and designing equitable systems across a distributed team.
- Partner with other functions within Stitch Fix to embed company-wide DEI strategies into their strategies, roadmaps and ways of working.
- Co-create DEI specific accountability structures & frameworks alongside partners across the People & Culture team.
We’re excited about you because…
- You have subject matter expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- You have been responsible for developing/implementing significant components of an organization’s DEI strategy.
- You are able to successfully influence change across functions and levels.
- You consistently leverage qualitative and quantitative data to build strategy and inform programmatic design.
- You are able to transform ambiguous problems into strategies and solutions.
- You are excited to advise and consult, but you also love to roll up your sleeves and do the work.
- Candidates with these skills often have 7+ years of relevant experience, but depth of skill and role related competence is more important to us than years of experience.
