Woman’s is more than just a hospital. We offer a variety of outpatient health clinics, specialty practices and services for the community. Woman’s Metabolic Weight Loss Clinic is looking for a full-time Clinic Assistant to travel to our satellite clinics.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Three years of clerical and/or customer service experience
- Scheduling experience, insurance and computer skills
- Physician office experience is highly preferred
- Active drivers license, car insurance and clear driving record
- Travel to satellite clinics located in Lafayette and Covington required, coverage for multiple onsite clinics.
Responsibilities of the Clinic Assistant include, but are not limited to:
- Completes HURON/AHIQA work list daily and accurately. Informs management if there is an issue with the report.
- Answers phone calls/faxes promptly and courteously. Responds to customer requests, forwards messages, and manages calls as needed.
- Schedules follow-up or recurring appointments accurately and provides information and instructions to patients according to department policies and procedures.
- Performs appropriate discharge of patient account as required.
- Assembles reports and letters as assigned by management. Distributes mail and/or deliveries to physicians according to department policy and individual requests.
- Obtains complete insurance information. Scans insurance card and verifies patient eligibility status. Contacts patient prior to appointment if there are insurance verification issues.
- Performs cashier duties as needed. Collects payments, issues receipts, makes and documents cash deposits in drop box. Notifies/documents any discrepancies or missing information.
- Scans loose reports and/or other medical records and documentation on the appropriate patient chart.
- Performs general clerical and office responsibilities such as emailing correspondence, maintaining lobby area, faxing reports, etc.
- Cross-trains and/or floats to other areas as directed by management.
- Performs other department and clinic specific duties and projects as assigned.
Hours
Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
Most Fridays, 7:30am -2pm
Pay
$13.19 – $18.63
