What You'll Be Doing This professional level work in the Finance Department is under the general supervision of the Assistant Town Manager for Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology who serves as the Town’s Chief Financial Officer. Work involves the supervision, maintenance and development of the Treasury, Finance Operations, and Debt Management, divisions within the department in addition to the responsibilities’ listed. This position performs a variety of operational, financial management, budgetary and special project tasks. These include handling urgent tasks, authorizations, and management responsibilities when the Chief Financial Officer or heads of Accounting and Management and Budget divisions are unavailable within the department. The position also supervises the performance of special projects within the Department across all divisions, which includes Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology.

Required Qualifications
BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least ten years of professional financial experience in accounting or auditing. Five years of increasingly responsible supervisory experience. Experience in computerized accounting systems, database systems, and third party reporting tools. Project management experience. Excellent organization and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, MPA, or other relevant Masters Degree or equivalent. Experience in municipal government accounting. Tyler ERP/MUNIS experience. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
