Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Front Desk Administration and Security Assistant is primarily responsible for front desk administration activities as well as assisting with overall building security during normal business hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for opening and closing the administrative section of the building in accordance with operating hours.
Grant building access to visitors if they do not possess an RFID badge.
Communicate with building occupants about scheduled visitors. (i.e., interviews, contractors, etc. so they know who is expected to enter the building and when)
Track scheduled visitors and inform employees when their appointments arrive and arrange for the visitor to be escorted to their meeting destination.
Answer and route incoming calls.
Assist in all emergency drills for the Corporate Office. (Fire, Evacuation, Active shooter)
Assist in maintaining all aspects of access control, including but not limited to visitor management, card access management, and ID badge creating and management.
Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively participate in the Safety Committee
Be aware of HGI safety policies and procedures.
Attend and actively participate in ongoing training.
Maintain a positive, team-oriented relationship with Goodwill staff and customers.
Demonstrate positive ethics and comply with all Goodwill policies.
Uphold and promote all safety standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must possess a high level of integrity and professionalism, have an excellent work ethic, be multifunctional, use good judgment, problem-solving, and organizational skills and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision and willing to take initiative and responsibility for completing projects.
Possess good written and verbal communication skills and exhibit confidentiality.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and apply concepts of math.
Ability to learn HGI’s policies and procedures.
Ability to relate to and understand the needs of people with disabilities and people we serve.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods of time.
Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Computer, Internet, and Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
Basic math, computer operations, reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills.
