EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for Corporate Accountant in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our Gaithersburg, MD office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, schedules for 10K,10Q.
- Maintain large fixed asset CIP schedule by project to capture monthly additions and timely transfers out of CIP for assets placed into service.
- Maintain PP&E rollforward schedule, paid capital, outstanding capital and capital cash flow.
- Provide SOX control procedure walkthrough and documentation.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statement analysis as well as PBC request for the audit firm.
Basic Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field plus two years’ experience in Sarbanes-Oxley OR Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Experience must include two years in each of the following: Data modeling, mathematical calculation and formulas; Hlookup, Vlookup, and pivot/pivot slicer tables; Accounting reconciliation; Credit card reconciliation; Tableau; Advanced Excel; financial reporting and analysis; Salesforce; Alteryx; and Microsoft Dynamics.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
