Job Summary
The College of Nursing is accepting applications for a Patient Care Specialist. This position is located in Mountain City, TN. Sign-on bonus – $500 after 30 days; $1,000 after 6-month probationary completion ($1,500 total)
Work performed involves knowledge of the basic principles and practices of nursing, and a variety of tasks in an ambulatory health care setting including:
Assisting professional nurses in all aspects of clinical care
Administering injections
Performing EKG’s
Gathering specimens
Assisting with special procedures and general workups
Performing other related non-professional nursing and clerical duties as required.

The employee may be required to move and/or stay in a stationary position in various settings for up to 12 hours at a time in addition to the preparation and closure of a clinical shift. Stress levels may be high due to frequently dealing with numerous students, patients, family members, and other healthcare providers. This position demands concentration and the ability to work in emotionally charged situations.
