The Kitchen Aide will receive supervision and guidance from the Kitchen Manager and Compliance Manager.
Position is Part-time, Monday-Friday. Work schedule is about 25-30 hours per week, between 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Starting pay range is $ 18 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Assist with preparation and implementation of daily meal preparation and food service.
Maintain proper sanitation, safety guidelines, regulations, and standards outlined by BGCNEO, ODJFS and Board of Health.
Assist with procurement, prep, delivery, and storage of all food/food related items.
Responsible for insuring and maintaining freshness and safety of all food.
Assist with monitoring & recording daily temperature of food for meal service and cold storage
Help managing program information, documentation & compliance requirements as needed
Maintain upkeep and service of all kitchen equipment and reports any incidents or malfunction of kitchen equipment to management.
Attend and assist with nutrition education programming/training as needed for compliance.
Participate in meetings regarding the Food Program as needed.
Participate in evaluations as requested.
Completion of all other tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager & Compliance Manager.
Requirements:
Experience in food service
Knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation required
Work independently and as part of a team
Organized and dependable
High School diploma or GED required
SERV Safe certified obtained within 6 months of hire
Must be or become CPR/First Aid certified
Proficiency with computers as appropriate for the position
Experience working with children
Flexibility to work clubhouse hours, especially as seasons and service needs change
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
A valid drivers license- the individual must be capable of driving/delivering meals to Clubs.
Individual must be able to lift heavy objects (25-50lbs) as needed. Additional physical requirements include reaching and handling objects with hands (picking, pinching, seizing, holding, grasping, turning), as well as perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching.
