The Nursing Manager Surgical Services will be part of a dignified 200-bed Medical Center acclaimed for its commitment to high-quality healthcare. Reporting to the Nurse Director of Perioperative Services, the Nursing Manager Surgical Services can expect to manage the clinical practice for the Perioperative Department. Supporting the Manager will be a seasoned and highly professional team, including the PreOp/PACU Assistant Nurse Manager, a CNOR certified Operating Room ANM, and the Nurse Supervisor over Ambulatory Surgery and GI/Endoscopy Services.
As the Nursing Manager Surgical Services, you will oversee a comprehensive Perioperative Services department that performs over 2,000 procedures annually. Leading a team of nearly 50 FTEs, this person will manage clinical and administrative duties for 4 Operating Rooms, 1 GI/Endo Suite, and 15 PreOp/PACU beds. Additionally, the Manager will help lead the Sterile Processing Department, as well as a busy Ambulatory Surgery Center.
This is an exciting role for a talented Nurse Leader who wants to step into a Manager title. The Surgical Services Nursing Manager will have the opportunity to mentor a very talented staff, fostering skills development and clinical competencies. This person will also learn the administrative aspects of leadership, participating in hospital committees, managing the department’s compliance programs, and promoting a collaborative working environment across the entire hospital.
