Job Abstract

As an Accounting Clerk, job duties include:

• Review carrier invoices for accuracy and completeness, identify rate discrepancies, and ensure all invoices comply with established guidelines.
\t
• Identify and raise billing discrepancies or concerns to the Supervisor for resolution, ensuring timely follow-up and corrective actions.
\t
• Work closely with local transportation providers' AR/AP teams to resolve billing issues and streamline payment processes.
\t
• Create IT support tickets when necessary to address system issues affecting freight payment operations.
\t
• Contribute to the development of new process documentation and participate in troubleshooting to improve the efficiency of freight payment procedures.

Skills:

\t
• 4+ years of experience as an Accounting Clerk working within a Logistics Company, preferably with exposure to freight payment processes and EDI transactions.
\t
• Proven understanding of the Oracle Transportation Management system to effectively manage freight payment processes.
\t
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and vendors.
\t
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills to audit invoices and identify discrepancies.
