THE WORK
The candidate selected for this role will support the manufacturing engineering organization by acting as a lead manufacturing engineer supporting the Microelectronics Center (MEC) and additional work centers as required. Responsibilities within this role include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
• Provide technical support and leadership for manufacturing processes and equipment, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage manufacturing engineering projects through coordinating tasks, timelines and schedules across functions to support production and development projects
• Lead equipment/process development and builds for IR&D, Functional Project, and Engineering builds
• Research, recommend, and implement new equipment and technologies for supporting current and future production opportunities
• Review and evaluate product engineering models, drawings, and documentation
• Identify root causes and corrective action of technical production and development problems
• Coordinate team inputs for proposals and cost estimates
• Analyze project cost estimates, savings, return on investment, and capacities when required
• Support and have opportunity to lead non-recurring projects through the entire lifecycle from design and prototype through production

WHO YOU ARE
You are a quick learner and are able to lead projects and facilitate collaboration both within the team and across functions, ensuring efficient production processes and continuous improvement.
A level 4 employee is senior career and typically has 12 years of experience without a degree, 9 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 7 years of experience with a Master's Degree.

• Experience or knowledge of advanced packaging and flip chip assembly equipment and specialized processes
• Experience interacting across multiple operations disciplines (manufacturing, operations, engineering, quality, production control, etc.)
• Experience working in a defense, aerospace, or equivalent environment
• Self-starter and motivated
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects • Experienced Manufacturing Engineer with knowledge of industry standards and best practices of manufacturing processes, procedures, process improvement, and strategic planning
• Strong organization skills, verbal & written communications skills with ability to work with multiple levels of management, peers, internal and external customers
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills and solving technical problems
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Experience with engineering drawings, models, and requirements analysis
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience/combined education
