What You’ll Do
Reporting to VP Global Project Management, this position will provide leadership and project management for ADC Therapeutics’ assets from Phase 0 through retirement of the asset.
We are looking for a highly competent professional to provide project management and leadership for cross-functional ADCT Project Teams. This role will chair and facilitate project team meetings and work cross-functionally to develop and execute R&D project plans on time and to budget. This role will be key in partnering across functions throughout the company, including Preclinical and Clinical Development, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Compliance and Finance.
This role can primarily be worked remotely from home, however there is a preference for this role to be based near our New Providence, New Jersey office who can come to the office as needed for business meetings and relationship building. The position is based in New Jersey (USA), with interactions with colleagues in London (UK), Lausanne (Switzerland) and other locations as necessary.
Job responsibilities
- Project leadership of pre-clinical and clinical stage assets.
- Collaborate with key functional leaders and project team members, building collegiate, compliant and successful teams.
- Manage and coordinate the efficient and effective achievement of deliverables and milestones for project teams.
- Proactively plan and facilitate meetings, providing meeting materials and timely meeting minutes.
- Support the teams by co-developing project plans and strategies.
- Ensure alignment across functions by working in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Provide financial oversight, critically reviewing budgetary requests within the context of timelines, key milestones, financial impact and long-term strategic goals.
- Work with global project management peers to ensure consistency of project management and leadership throughout the organization.
- Prepare/assimilate and deliver project updates/stage gate presentations for executive management.
- Support alliance management in ensuring effective interactions/ joint project teams with partners as necessary.
- Escalate issues and communicate decisions to all cross-functional team members and stakeholders.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline required, MBA, Master’s Degree or advanced Degree (Ph.D.) preferred.
- 15+ years of project management experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Proven track-record in managing cross-functional teams in a complex environment to deliver significant results to the organization, experience with formulating integrated, cross-functional strategies.
- Understands the development life cycle in order to impact across all line functions: Pre-clinical, Clinical Development, Manufacturing, Finance, Regulatory and Compliance.
- An understanding of financial management including experience reviewing and successfully managing budgets.
- Ability to work collaboratively and successfully build relationships across functions across multiple locations.
- Self-motivated, goal driven with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated proficiency with planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
- Strong proficiency in creating and delivering presentations to senior leadership on complex projects which will help drive efficient decision making aligned to meeting organizational objectives.
- Proven exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrable ability to work proactively and independently.
- Prior experience in leading/ facilitating cross functional project teams.
