Summary:
Responsible for the planning, implementation, and coordination of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet Recognition program.®. Utilizes cutting-edge knowledge, research, evidence-based practice, and a thorough understanding of Magnet standards to develop an integrated organizational approach to Magnet designation/re-designation. Provides leadership and direction for nursing in meeting and exceeding Magnet requirements. Exemplifies a vision for change and continuous improvements by leading and participating in interdisciplinary teams. Utilizes evidence-base practice methodology to evaluate nursing practices as aligned with ANCC Magnet standards. Works with quality coordinator, System Director Evidence-based practice, System Director Nursing Professional Practice, CNSs, and Unit Directors to monitor/collect key quality metrics including but not limited to RN satisfaction, patient satisfaction, and nurse sensitive indicators to assure compliance with Magnet requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Formal Education Required:
a. BSN required.
b. MSN or Masters in Business or Health Care required.
c. Certification preferred or required to obtain within 2 years.
d. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio required.
2. Experience & Training Required:
a. Five (5) years related clinical/professional experience in acute care nursing required.
b. Experience working as a Magnet Program Director required in a Magnet Organization preferred
c. Experience with successful project management.
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
b. Ability to work well within a team environment by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback, supporting team goals and encouraging fellow team members.
c. Ability to assess, implement and evaluate educational needs and programs designed to meet the needs of staff and others related to Magnet.
d. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
e. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity

$44.81/hr - $67.22/hr
