To provide clerical support to the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Nursing Programs, provide support for accreditation visits, and help with the preparation of documents for state approval. This position will maintain and coordinate calendars for the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and correspond with external constituents as directed by the Associate Dean. The administrative assistant will become familiar with baccalaureate nursing education and serve the College of Nursing by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Job duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education, BSN, ELMSN, and RN-to-BSN Program Directors in the College of Nursing.
Assist with ordering food for undergraduate events and coordinating undergraduate faculty travel.
Assist in the creation of all undergraduate handbooks and large reports.
Create and manage BSN, ELMSN and RN-to-BSN course scheduling worksheets, and Schedule at a Glance.
Organize and maintain file system for adjunct faculty and Board of Registered Nursing compliance documents.
Create and maintain databases for all full-time and part-time faculty and clinical sites.
Post all undergraduate syllabi, CRB’s and office schedules in the CBU system.
Create minutes for all Undergraduate meetings.
Maintain Acalog Digital catalog for the undergraduate programs.
Presents a positive supportive image of the School of Nursing, California Baptist University, and Christian Higher Education.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position could be responsible for assigning work and/or giving direction to part-time Student Workers, in order to complete office work assignments.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard or other office equipment. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone. WORKENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of Nursing and experience.
