POSITION SUMMARY
Supervise and train staff for the safe and efficient operation of snowmaking equipment, ensuring that all standards, compliance, and performance goals are achieved.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Have extensive mechanical experience and/or training.
- A valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety practices and ANSI code.
- Must be able to pass Company certification as a Snowmobile Operator.
- Ability to operate equipment as needed; read and comply with documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to work flexible schedules, including second and third shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Attend and conduct in-house training and safety meetings, as well as exhibit the application and retention of all material presented.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to follow verbal and written instructions; as well as further develop professional skills, abilities, and knowledge.
- Exhibit willingness to perform other duties as assigned or assist in efforts outside of department as needed.
- Follow, safeguard, and teach Company and Department policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and operational safety practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, browser-based research tools, UKG and Sharepoint.
- Perform inspections; monitor the startup, positioning, deicing, and shutdown of snowmaking equipment; and troubleshoot equipment failure, determine best course of action to correct issues, and complete repairs.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and direct subordinates so that equipment operates safely and at a high degree reliability, for the maximum production and quality of snow.
- Supervise staffing, safety, training, transportation, and equipment needs.
- Timely complete maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Responsible for regulatory local, state, and federal compliance and documentation requirements.
- Assist Manager in performance evaluations, rewards, and discipline.
- Assist with interviewing candidates and training employees.
- Assist in creating and managing budget.
- Respond to emergency issues that might arise during off-duty hours.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Mental strain and fatigue may occasionally be caused by trying to resolve employee issues, meeting deadlines, and balancing the wants and needs of the departmental staff. Handling emergency situations and working in adverse weather conditions may cause additional mental strain. Physical hazards include walking up and down steep stairways or driving on surfaces that may be wet/frozen and slippery, as well as exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, mists and gases. Physical strain may also be caused by lifting or movement of heavy objects, as well as repetitive fine motor activities.
