Job Abstract

The University of Mount Union is seeking applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Professional in Residence of Criminal Justice in the Department of Social Sciences for the 2023-2024 academic year. The candidate would be expected to teach 4 classes a semester

The individual will be responsible for teaching criminal justice classes and we welcome applicants with a wide range of expertise. However, the ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in Victimology and Criminology. The ability to teach a course in Social Research Methods or Sociological Theory will be an added advantage.

Required: Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field

Preferred: Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or related field. The ideal candidate will be able to present a combination of evidence of teaching effectiveness, a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education, and/or significant professional experience in the field of criminal justice.
