Overview Data and System Specialist supports and maintains the Loan Origination System, and other related systems of the Home Loans Department. This position requires knowledge of loan origination workflow. Data and System specialist creates, analyzes, maintains, and distributes reports to management detailing performance, trends, risks, and strategies using data from the loan origination system, Snowflake, Tableau, and other data sources. This position will work closely with the Mortgage team, Technology Support team, Core Support team, and third-party vendors to implement new products and features and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of the Loan Origination System, including but not limited to configuration of products, fees, pricing, security rules, decision engines, version updates, forms, disclosure, and loan document changes. Primary contact for team members experiencing home loan system related issues, determine the cause, identify the solution, and resolve the issue. Monitor types and volume of issues and provide recommendations to management for areas of improvement. Perform user acceptance testing on all system major releases, hot fix, and critical patches. Conduct system demos to team members and management on new features and system changes. Timely and clear communication of these changes and system down times. Build and maintain an online repository of reference materials for the branches and assisting with the creation of materials like job aids and other resources that will enhance their ability to effectively assist members with their mortgage loan applications. Create, maintain, and distribute statistical report from loan origination, Snowflake, Tableau, and other data sources for management, production team and auditing needs. Provide feedback to management regarding observations of unusual or unexpecting changes. Maintain and develop pricing and ranking comparison reports related to our competitive posture for both first mortgage and equity loans. Access the credit exposures of home loan products by specific parameters to inform product proposals and changes to underwriting guidelines. Collaborate with department stakeholders on requests, projects, changes, and issue resolution for data, system, and workflow configurations. Set up, maintain, reset password, and disable user access in the Loan Origination System, and other associated systems. Contribute to mortgage technology related projects, participate in user acceptance testing and implementation. Partner with Technology Support team, Core Support team, and third-party vendors to maintain existing products and services and set up new products and services to ensure integration success between systems. Assist with special projects, development initiatives, and efficiency improvements. Complete Consumer Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) consumer request in a timely manner. Independently solves complex problems with high quality and in a timely manner using technical expertise and application knowledge. Qualifications Require an associate arts degree or equivalent or 4+ years of lending systems administration, product management, product training and/or regulatory compliance experience.
