Job Abstract

We are seeking an Estimator whose primary responsibility is to ensure that easily understood job estimates, for lighting, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, are produced and distributed to clients in a timely and accurate manner utilizing all resources, experience, and education. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand contract service requirements for all clients
• Maintain excellent customer and contractor relations
• Gather all required information in order to effectively and efficiently produce accurate quotes that fall within gross profit parameters and contract limitations
• Maintain a quote file for reference by authorized associates requiring information
• Review all quote activities on a daily basis to ensure all required quotes have been prepared and distributed and that all approved quotes have been relayed to the appropriate contractors
• Develop and maintain a tracking and reporting system to monitor approval rates and to keep the Director of Operations informed of status as required
• Attend meetings and contributes ideas and resolutions
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism and a positive attitude in order to assure good relations with all parties
• Actively seek methods to improve the department efficiency and profitability
• Pursue educational options which may periodically arise that will positively impact the performance of the duties herein and as agreed to by the Director of Operations
• Keep workspace in an orderly manner allowing others to easily obtain information that might be required in the absence of the employee
• Maintain a regular and punctual attendance record and adhere to all policies set forth in the company's Personnel Policies Handbook
• Perform any other related duties which might be assigned
