Resident Physical Therapist Outpatient Rehab Full Time Day
POSITION SUMMARY:
To plan, organize, and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients in a variety of age groups according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy. To collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team. To supervise work of support staff. To complete residency program requirements as outlined in completed and submitted Self-Evaluation Report Exhibits, to ensure full grasp of the knowledge, skills, and clinical reasoning to excel in the field of orthopaedic physical therapy. To undergo extensive education and training for full preparation to sit for ABPTS Board Certification.
EDUCATION:
Possess at least a master's degree from an accredited college or university, except for an applicant who prior to January 1, 2003, possessed a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Doctorate degree in physical therapy preferred. Current, permanent, unrestricted valid New Jersey license as a Physical Therapist. Current BLS Certification.
EXPERIENCE:
None; Must have an active APTA Membership, including Orthopedic Section Membership
Residency Fees
• The 2024-2025 Residency Program fees are $980. This includes all required didactic, curricular materials as well as the cost of APTA membership, inclusive of the orthopedic section.
• Please note that in addition to the standard fees, there may be additional costs associated with conferences or other educational experiences that could arise throughout the program. These fees, while not included in the initial pricing, may be necessary for certain optional activities or events. We encourage participants to budget accordingly and take advantage of these valuable opportunities for further learning and professional development.
• Applicants are subjected to any associated fees with RF-PTCAS. No supplemental application fees are required to apply to the Valley Health System Orthopedic Residency.

Ability to communicate and interact with relevant departments within the health-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members in accordance with Valley's SERVE and CARE standards. Ability to interact with patients in stressful situations and changing work environments related to changing patient needs APTA Membership, including Orthopedic Section Membership, required prior to onset of the residency program.
