Pre-Certification Specialist,

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for obtaining and providing accurate and complete data input for precertification/preauthorization from insurance companies.

EDUCATION:

Associate`s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
2 years healthcare experience required. Medical terminology knowledge required. Knowledge of Sleep Medicine medical coding preferred. 2 years of related experience in obtaining and handling pre-authorizations preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Effective communication and writing skills, ability to articulate and use proper spelling and grammar. Effective interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with co-workers and other staff. Effective presentation skills. Effective critical thinking-analytical, problem-solving, decision making, prioritizing, time management, etc. Ability to multitask and pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency and composure. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Typing and/or keyboarding skills at a minimum of 50 wpm. Medical terminology.
