$100,000.00 /Yr. - $130,000.00 /Yr.
Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%
These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

The Axos Professional Workstation (APW) will be leveraged by Investment Professionals, BD home office users, as well as Axos internal users to support the tactical and strategic needs of the user. APW will serve as the single integrated technology solution to enable the servicing of our clients and support them in achieving their strategic business goals.
In this role, you will deliver solutions for complex business and technical problems where the product strategy and focus are not always defined. You will partner with your product and business teams to identify and prioritize customer outcomes. You will drive design excellence by unifying and improving design patterns, standards and methods while contributing to the adoption of enterprise design standards. You will be expected to be well versed in stakeholder and will lead and present in cross-org reviews using your storytelling superpowers to influence and keep the team focused. Your attention to detail at the pixel level will only be matched by your focus on making sure your designs are feasible and data driven.
This position is on-site at the following locations: New York or San Diego. Remote work may also be considered, depending upon your location.
Responsibilities:
- Influence stakeholders across functions to gain support for design strategies
- Drive the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems
- Drive a holistic design process, design system, or design language across teams or products
- Provide direction to UX designers in creating design concepts for product ideation and/or user research/testing
- Drive design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business outcomes
- Help craft and work writhing corporate standards for process, execution, and deliverables
Requirements:
- 8+ years' of collective design experience (visual design, research, UX design, etc.)
- Have an available online portfolio
- Expert with design tools such as Figma, Zeplin, Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience applying UX design processes
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Experience with UX research (competitive analysis, stakeholder interviews, user testing)
- Experience with investment brokerage software applications
- Experience delivering pixel perfect designs as specification to development
- Comfortable working within a mid-size design team (10-15 people)
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree, with complementary training in UX and design specialties
