What are we looking for...
Unmonitored safe operation and monitoring of multiple polymer reaction processes. Load and unload tank trucks and railcars. Perform filtering operations and transfer materials to containers (drums, totes) or bulk storage (storage tanks, tank trucks or rail cars). Sampling and recording data. Responsible for safe handling of materials, vessel cleaning and housekeeping. Packaged and bulk raw material handling (pumping, etc.). Hourly rate of $20.89 per hour; plus opportunity to enroll in dental, medical, vision and 401K benefits; PTO of up to 3 weeks per year; opportunity for an annual company bonus; and opportunity for perfect attendance bonus and days!
What you'll own in this role...
- Miscellaneous cleaning including, but not limited to, tanks, tank cars, polymerization vessels.
· Use fork truck to transfer pallets containing bags of raw materials to mezzanine.
· Transfer product through proper lines by identifying correct line and completing hookups.
· Visually check lines, connections, and bleed off valves before, during and after transfer.
· Load finished product into bulk containers for shipment.
· Monitor the loading process and take various readings.
· Weigh trucks and operate the computerized weigh scale system.
· Manual addition of raw materials to be blended into in-process material tanks.
· Know raw material incompatibilities to avoid contamination
· Manually add raw material to polymerization vessels.
· Support compliance efforts – RCMS, ISO, PSM, OSHA, etc.
· Reactor Emergency Shutdown and Start-up Protocol
· General Understanding of utility systems, such as cooling tower, steam, vacuum, thermal oxidizer, chiller
· Physical reactor checks, displaying and understanding polymerization reaction batch chart, monitor batch of product, ingredient charging and troubleshooting, manual charges, special batch requirements and compatibility checks.
· Blowdown tank functions, manual de-gas.
· Other duties as assigned.
What you'll need to be successful...
• High school or equivalent degree required
• Able to handle up to fifty (50) pounds and physical dexterity to assemble and operate polymerization reactors
• Working knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, E-Mail)
• Ability to work at heights and walk on grating.
• Work in various climates (indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions).
• Must be able to wear a respirator and other required PPE.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of position.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, various shifts, including off shift or swing shift as required.
• Familiar with ISO-9001 and Process Safety Management
