To meet the growing demand for AWS Services around the globe, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people to enable our Regions expansion. We are looking for a highly analytical Front End Engineer to help develop new external series and internal applications that will help us grow AWS Regions more efficiently and effectively.
The Consistent Customer eXperience (CCX) team, a crucial part of the AWS Region Product Management organization. Our team is dedicated to crafting innovative software solutions that are vital in providing a uniform and reliable experience for AWS customers. We focus on ensuring that all regions and partitions offer a consistent set of services and features, and that these services function as expected, maintaining AWS's high standards of service performance. Our work is essential in delivering a dependable and seamless experience to AWS customers, no matter where they are located.
As part of the Consistent Customer eXperience (CCX) team, You will be working in an Agile mode, frequently collaborating directly with product management and design to iterate at a fast pace and delight our end users.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and code new RESTful APIs (Java/TypeScript) that support both web and programmatic callers
- Build natively on AWS, using serverless technologies (CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, SNS, SQS)
- Create backend systems that scale by leveraging NoSQL databases (DynamoDB)
- Develop dynamic front-end web applications and the backend APIs that power them
- Deliver front-end website UI (JavaScript, TypeScript, React) creating and translating mock-ups into code
- Raise the bar on quality, security, performance, scalability, usability and operations
- Stay abreast of developments and trends in Cloud architectures, web dev and programming languages
- Support the Region Services organization mission through the creation of tooling for AWS region builds, service expansion and feature tracking
- Establish relationships across development teams to programmatically integrate our services with other teams APIs

About the team
AWS has the most services and more features within those services, than any other cloud providerfrom infrastructure technologies like compute, storage, and databasesto emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes and analytics, and Internet of Things.
Consistent Customer eXperience (CCX) team is part of the AWS Region Product Management organization. We are building new AWS services and we are always innovating with the customer in mind. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
