Position Summary:
The primary responsibility will include the recruitment and yielding of transfer students, with an emphasis on in-state recruitment at local New Jersey Community Colleges. Secondary responsibilities will include supporting data management efforts through the Office's CRM system, communication creation, and other marketing efforts. Other responsibilities will be able to meet with prospective students to discuss the transfer process, requirements to apply and application review. Additional visits to Fairs and/or information sessions (in-person and virtual) will also be required for both in-state and out-of-state transfer applicants. This counselor will also be responsible for helping with the recruitment of first-year students as well. This includes both in-person and virtual presentations, recruitment visits, and other requests from the Director of Admissions to serve the recruitment cycle.
Main Responsibilities:
Recruit students according to the recruitment practices and policies established by the college. Represent the college in out-of-state and in-state local, regional, and national college fairs.
Participate in college night/day programs in recruiting transfer students but also to first-year students as needed. Participate in on-campus weekday and weekend recruitment events. Participate in virtual recruitment events throughout the year.
Efficient processing and reviewing of new entrant applications according to the standards and procedures established by the administration and the Admissions Office.
- Engage in day-to-day activities with prospective families including but not limited to answering emails and phone calls, and giving tour presentations to first-year and transfer students. Participate in programs to recruit and counsel prospective students both on and off campus.
- Utilize CRM system to support office operational needs in terms of reporting, communications and scholarship evaluation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions that are necessary to achieve the highest quality of customer service in support of the overall mission of the office or a special cohort.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to interact with various levels of faculty, staff, students, and parents
- Experience with data collection/analysis, database management, automation and/or CRM systems (Technolutions - Slate).
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Strong oral presentation skills in both large and small forums
- Effective written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
