Overview

Canoo SW Team is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Sr. UX/UI Designer. You will operate in a high-performance, principle-based culture, that is accountable, repeatable, and scalable. The primary responsibility of this role is to be the strategic lead for all aspects of UX on products in our Canoo Ecosystem by providing expertise and guidance to deliver a user experience loved by our customers.

The 80's of the Position

• Define UXUI mission, vision, strategy, and roadmap by engaging and emphasizing with customer and stakeholders to understand opportunities.
• Implement UXUI strategy by researching, analyzing, visualizing, prototyping ideas from low fidelity to high fidelity and other artifacts with accessibility in mind.
• Continuously improve and taking others along progressive thinking and pushing boundaries of the user experience across digital and physical experiences.
• Collaborate with sales team, product owners, and software and vehicle engineering teams to deliver final products.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree and equivalent work experience OR minimum 8 years in automotive industry and/or digital product.
• Demonstrable experience launching successful product(s).
• Expertise in Figma and user research/usability testing.
• Intellectually curious: You ask why and are comfortable with ambiguity.
• You are tirelessly learning to becoming an expert in the product and market including specific technical or industry knowledge.
• Communicator & influencer: You communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Do-er: You can get through roadblocks and stay focused on your goals despite distractions and pressure. You are well organized, able to multi-task, and able to prioritize. You produce output to show for your hard work.
• Team player: You are adept at managing and maintaining relationships between multifunctional team members.
