DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The State Employees' Retirement System seeks an individual to serve as an administrative assistant in our Bensalem Regional Counseling Center. This position supports grieving families as they educate on and facilitate the death benefit process when a member collecting a monthly pension payment dies. The position also assists in receiving visitors, answering telephones, opening and distributing mail, and scanning and indexing returned forms.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. unpaid meal period.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home part-time (hybrid telework schedule) up to 2 days per week, depending on operational needs and progress in learning assigned tasks. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania; otherwise, you must work on-site at the work location specified in this job posting.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they arewithin 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
