THE OPPORTUNITY:
Our service professionals play a vital role in supporting our clients with day-to-day account management, claims management, and underwriting services that ensure they have what they need to protect what matters most. Through a robust network of resources, you will be amongst some of the industry’s top talent to help guide and support our customer’s needs and provide them with innovative insurance solutions.
The Account Representative, Employee Benefits, works collaboratively with the service team to manage a book of business. Coordinates and provides day-to-day service for employee benefits clients by maintaining client relationships, supporting client retention, maintaining strong carrier relationships, and understanding client needs. Serves as day-to-day contact and provides resolution for client questions and issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with the design of annual benchmarking reports and strategy recommendations based on findings.
Maintains client relationships, supports client retention, maintains strong carrier relationships, and understands client needs.
Serves as day-to-day contact and provides resolution for client questions and issues.
Responds to all phone calls and inquiries within 24 hours of receipt.
Assists with the management of claims and coverage issue resolution.
Provides assistance with clients’ billing and eligibility audits.
Advises and guides clients in compliance matters.
Educates clients on all Value Added Services.
Assists with the preparation of open enrollment (OE) packets including Employee Guides, SBCs, and disclosure notices.
Develops open enrollment presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and assist with benefits webinars for employees and HR Managers.
Orders supplies from carriers, and reviews for accuracy.
Collaborates with the Marketing Department on the creation and distribution of communication materials.
Assists with the management of new carrier, plan, or vendor implementation including benefits administration system build-out and project management.
Installs and regularly updates client-specific data in data management system.
Performs contract review and facilitates the preparation of SPD Wraps, Cafeteria, and POP Plan documents.
Facilitates 5500 preparation with CPA and client.
Prepares master group files, and client contact sheets, and maintains carrier files.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
2-5 years of related benefits experience
Ability to speak effectively in front of clients and their employees
Teamwork – Supports everyone's efforts to succeed
Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information

*The expected salary range for this position is $16.90 to $68,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
