GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Medication Technician assists resident with medications under supervision of a licensed nurse. Assists by performing routine resident related care duties and activities of daily living.
PRINCILE DUTIES:
- The Medication Technician accepts, accounts and documents all new medications brought into the facility. Safely prepares and aides with resident self-administration of medications. Maintains accurate medication documentation and records.
- Guides the resident in maintaining his/her schedule of daily activities, while maintaining the residents sense of independence. Individualizes care and assistance provided to each resident depending on level of functioning.
- Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising. Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

What you will bring
Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.
- High school graduate, student or equivalent.
- Completion of required RCFE training as Medication Technician
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- At least one year of experience as a caregiver in a facility or in-home caregiving
- Knowledge and practice of safe lifting and back care techniques
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Minimum one-year experience preferred as Medication Technician
