As an Advanced Strategic Technology Partnerships Manager, you will identify key disruptive data center technologies by performing a comprehensive market and ecosystem scan of strategic suppliers, private startups, and research consortiums. In this role, you will partner with technical leaders to put together an overall strategy for industry and ecosystem engagement in the data center hardware arena to enable easy integration of emerging technologies into Google infrastructure. You will work with internal stakeholders to articulate the value proposition for new technologies and facilitate access to the technology by discussing and putting in place the necessary business and commercial agreements. You'll be a key part of an end-to-end supply chain team that drives continuous improvement and ensures operational excellence in support of Google's rapid growth.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $153,000-$230,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Survey emerging technology trends and identify relevant engagement opportunities. Build new technology business cases along with engineering, commodity, finance, and other stakeholders to showcase value propositions.
Identify the top internal areas that have diverged from the industry in non-differentiating ways to support internal no tech islands requirements.
Articulate and co-lead strategy for long-term technology and industry alignment including closing current gaps, competitive assessment, working with technical leads in each area.
Own the execution of the strategy from the business, supply chain, and operations point of view while communicating findings internally through newsletters and technology landscape data capture tools.
Be responsible for creative agreement structuring, discussing agreements, and agreement closure to secure early technology engagements and partnerships.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in data center technologies.
5 years of experience in a relevant role engaging in industry forums and ecosystems.
Experience with partnership agreements and contract negotiations.
Preferred qualifications:
MBA degree.
10 years of experience managing data center technologies.
Experience in corporate business development and venture capital.
Experience in finance and financial return on investment models.
Experience with ecosystem development, consortiums, and standard bodies.
