Works under general supervision of an Audit Manager or Audit Segment Director. MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: Participate in client walkthroughs and document results via narratives, flowcharts or process maps Performs tests of design and operating effectiveness of key internal controls and draws logical conclusions from the results of analysis and tests conducted. Performs validation on previously identified audit issues. Prepares audit working papers in appropriate formats that are concisely written and clearly demonstrate the testing, objective, and work performed. Completes assigned audit fieldwork and other duties within expected timelines and budget. Performs audit work consistent with department standards and industry practices. Participates in the preparation of audit conclusions in conjunction with the Audit Manager. Keep abreast of changes in products, processes, systems, and regulations that impact assigned coverage areas. Must be able to effectively multi-task and ensure timely delivery of various audit activities while maintaining high quality. Performs other duties as assigned or requested by the Audit Director or Chief Internal Auditor. Required Skills KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university 1+ year internal auditing experience A strong commitment to professional and ethical behavior Strong oral and written communications skills Ability to collect and analyze complex data, evaluate information and systems, and draw logical conclusions Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment Self-motivated and self-directed SPECIFIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work requires reasonable mobility in and around the work area. Ability to use standard computer and phone systems is required. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment where there is almost no discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, or other disagreeable elements. Work includes little or no potential exposure to hazardous conditions. Must be able to travel throughout SSB footprint as needed.
