Position Summary:
The Sales Team will prospect new business aviation customers through market research tools, industry conferences, current customers, and internal company leads. The role will also prospect existing customers to upsell other products and services the company offers: Global Trip Support, Regional Trip Support, On-Line Flight Planning, Insurance, etc. Additionally, the role will position vendor-aligned products/services that add to the company’s core competency, Scheduling and Software, DATALINK, Security Solutions, etc.
You will focus on promoting our products and services, understanding customer needs, and achieving sales targets. This role is for you if you’re a motivated communicator who enjoys building connections. Customer relationship management activities for all the aforementioned products and services as they relate to issues, concerns, invoice resolution, account health and satisfaction activities, etc.
Responsibilities:
• Prospect new business utilizing market research tools, industry conferences, cold calls, current customers, and internal company leads to position all of World Fuel / Colt’s product and service lines.
• Prospect and strategize to expand existing customer spending across other company product and service lines.
• Utilize cold calling, networking, and social media to seek new sales opportunities.
• Cross-sell and up-sell aligned vendor products and services that strengthen the company’s total sales proposition to new and existing customers.
• Build and maintain customer relationships to increase customer retention through regular customer visits and communications, be the go-to person for issue resolution and problem-solving, and perform trip, service, and product satisfaction activities as part of the customer relationship management program.
• Understand the customer's changing needs and conditions and take the necessary steps to expand and prevent interruption of normal business activities, financial changes in the customer, decrease in fleet, etc.
• Facilitate and maintain the processing of internal paperwork requirements to ensure onboarding from the perspectives of trip support, customer preference documentation, billing, and accounting procedures.
• Support of international sales groups to help support the sale of the company's aforementioned products and services and align vendors' products and services.
Requirements:
Experience: 5+ years’ experience in the aviation industry in sales or relevant roles.
Education: A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience is required.
Customer Service: Proven customer loyalty and following through strong customer management skills.
Industry Knowledge: Complete understanding of all aspects of the industry, products, and services.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
- Ability to deliver attractive presentations.
Travel Requirement:
Moderate—Travel may occur on short notice; travel is an integral part of successful job performance; and travel to remote or hazardous locations may be required.
