Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a full-time, day shift, Tumor Registrar. This position will work within the Cancer Center of New Jersey as a RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick employee. As a transplant center tumor registrar, you will play a pivotal role in advancing cellular therapies through complete, accurate and timely data submission to CIBMTR. These efforts are critical in supporting research that has led to increased survival and an enriched quality of life for thousands of patients.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous clinical data entry experience.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associates Degree preferred.
- Certified Tumor Registrar or Certified Oncology Nurse preferred, or must obtain certification by one year anniversary of employment.
- Oncology experience preferred.
Scheduling Requirements:
Essential Functions:
- Maintains regulatory requirements in accordance with CIBMTR & other agency guidelines.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to operate required software to perform job duties.
- Maintains HIPAA compliance with all data.
- Assures timely submission of data.
- Assists data manager in audits performed by various governing agencies.
- Work daily in collaboration with other team members.
- Resolves queries accurately and timely.
- Enters all data into the required databases.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Earns continuing education credits as required for regulatory agencies.
