The Manager, Commercial Training will use in-depth training related experience to manage the design, development, facilitation, and measurement of sales training programs (Reproductive Medicine) for the Commercial Training Team. This position will work closely with the RM brand teams, sales leadership, area field trainers, and other key stakeholders to identify, create, and deliver training programs that are aligned with the strategies, objectives and tactics. This position will provide field-training programs, as well as conduct needs assessments and on-going field research. This position will inform, develop, and execute launch training curriculum, further establishing Ferring as a trusted leader. This position will also focus on large projects by brand such as project execution, national meetings and vendor management.
Additionally, this role will be responsible for quarterly field-based co-travels and 6-month continuous training of new hired sales representative. The incumbent will work closely with the Sales Leadership team to help train and develop their newly hired representatives. This role will be based in Parsippany, NJ office and require a minimum of three days in the office and field-based travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the design and facilitation of product, marketplace, and selling skills training courses for all phases of training, as well as, National Sales Meetings and Plan of Action meetings and Launch Execution.
- Project manage training curriculum that includes: gap/opportunity identification, content creation and development, instructional design, vendor management, budget management, and communication to key stakeholders
- Work with Director, Commercial Training and Instructional Design Manager to build appropriate long-range e-learning coursework and curriculum and that will support ongoing business objectives
- Manage the establishment of standardizing training processes, including management of the curriculum and coursework in the Learning Management System (LMS) and ACTO platform.
- Evaluate training content by incorporating measures and metrics into program designs and propose recommendations and solutions based on outcomes using the LTW Platform.
- In collaboration with Marketing, Medical and Sales Leadership, conduct needs assessment, develop and execute launch curriculum.
- Provide field coaching to new hires during first week in territory, to assist acclimation to marketplace and to further develop product knowledge and compliant selling skills.
- In collaboration with Sales Leadership, conduct field rides with identified representatives to further develop product knowledge and selling skills and to stay informed on field and marketplace knowledge.
- Train and coach the Area Trainer team in collaboration with commercial team to be able to identify gaps, facilitate workshops and provide timely feedback for both new hires and tenured representatives.
- In collaboration with Sales Leadership, conduct district and regional trainings to meet varying geographical needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 3+ years of sales experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry is preferred.
- 5+ Sales training experience preferred.
- Previous Reproductive Medicine or Women’s Health experience strongly preferred.
- Project Management skills required.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems required—LMS, ACTO, Veeva etc.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) are required.
- Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, motivation and leadership skills.
- Effectively operate in an evolving complex and dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements: This role will be based in Parsippany, NJ office and require a minimum of three days in the office and field-based travel up to 30%.

Our Compensation and Benefits
At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $145,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
Benefits for this role include: comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees; a 401k plan and company match; short and long-term disability coverage; basic life insurance; wellness benefits; reimbursement for certain tuition expenses; sick time frontloaded yearly of 40 hours, or higher if state or local law requires; vacation time for full time employees to accrue between 112.5 and 150 hours yearly in the first four (4) years of employment, and additional accruals starting in the fifth (5th) year of employment; and 12 to 13 paid holidays per year.
