As a HID firmware engineer working on many of Apple's input devices ( Keyboards, Trackpads, mice, pencils, etc ), you will be expected to: Architect, implement, and maintain complex firmware designs Write clean, easy to understand, robust, and sustainable code tailored for embedded systemsBring up proof-of-concept prototypes and demos to help Design teams explore and evaluate new interactions Help select microcontrollers and peripherals, define power management strategies, and review schematics with the Hardware teamNegotiate, specify and document communication protocols, system states, and feature requirements with Hardware and Software teams Collaborate with the Quality Engineering team to inform and craft their white-box testing
