Job Abstract

Celestar Corporation has an IMMEDIATE NEED to identify a Director of Operations who will report to the Vice President of Operations. Clearance:  A Top- Secret clearance with SCI Access

NOTE* This is a Full-Time Exempt position that requires regular and predictable attendance. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the effective and efficient management of assigned Celestar Corporation contracts

• Through Direct Reports, Program Managers and Task Leads, ensures that contract Costs, Schedules and Performance objectives are met and/or exceeded.

• Provides direction, guidance and mentoring to Program Managers and Task Leads, and indirectly to Celestar members assigned to contract vehicles

• Serves as the Direct Reporting Official for Program Managers and Task Leads

• Regularly serve as a senior corporate representative in the National Capital Region/Northern Virginia Area

• Responsible for executing Celestar’s Customer Expectations Management plan in coordination with Program Managers and Task Leads

• Actively supports and represents the interests of the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) in the identification and furtherance of business development opportunities emerging from customers (government or industry)

• In coordination with the Vice President of Operations, leads Celestar’s efforts to expand work share on existing efforts

• Advises VP of Operations on personnel and organizational administrative matters

• Participate in senior and/or corporate strategy sessions

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Desired

• Ten years of experience managing U.S. Government Contracts of 50 - 100+ cumulative FTE

• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor Program Managers and Task Leads to ensure clarity/understanding of project scope, deliverables, schedule and budget

• Must be able to maintain continuous accountability for providing deliverables on time

while ensuring that customer expectations are met

• Must be an out-of-the box thinker who can handle time sensitive requirements while effectively handling and diffusing conflicts as they may arise

• Requires a demonstrated ability to clearly articulate and convey messages both written and verbally

• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office software tools

• Must be willing to travel within CONUS/OCONUS via various modes of travel which includes Air Transportation

• Must possess a Current US Issued Passport prior to hire

• Active Top Secret Level Clearance with SCI Access - required
