Job Abstract

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides general engineering and administrative support to a Network Engineering and Cyber team delivering network transport capabilities
  • Utilizes the site installation schedule to prepare site specific equipment suites for each team going to the site
  • Maintains Configuration Management of site diagrams and documents
  • Reads and interprets site specific equipment layouts
  • Programs, tests and evaluates port assignments, connected equipment, and site specific configuration
  • Assists with operating system management
  • Assists with performing vulnerability scans of the systems and reviews

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three to Five+ years’ experience with:
    • Network engineering and administration (primarily cisco)
    • CISCO CCNA (Routing and Switching, Service Provider)
    • Juniper Hardware
    • Juniper JUNOS
    • Local Area Networking
    • Copper/Fiber connectivity
    • Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems
    • Microsoft Windows Servers
    • Linux
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Possess a general knowledge of DoD Cyber activities, including DISA STIGS, supporting RMF accreditation's, etc.
  • Experience performing vulnerability scans

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with any or all of the following:
    • Supporting Navy or DoD Tactical Networks
    • Operating system engineering and administration (primarily Windows, RHEL)
    • Python is a plus
  • Advanced certifications, such as:
    • Linux: RHCE, RHCSA, or similar
    • Cisco: CCNP, CCNA or similar
    • Juniper (JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-DevOps, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIS-SEC)
    • VMware: VCP, VCAP, or similar

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
