Summary of the Role:
The Cleaning Specialist is responsible for the daily supervision and training of cleaning personnel in their performance of facility cleaning activities in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Second Shift (3pm-12am)
Schedule and supervise all cleaning activities of contract cleaners over multiple GMP manufacturing facilities.
Coordinates cleaning activities around ongoing manufacturing activities & is responsible for scheduling any emergency cleaning activities.
Review cleaning records and maintains GMP documentation to comply with regulatory requirements.
Writes and revises Standard Operating Procedures as needed to accurately reflect process steps and capture process changes.
Responsible for the investigation of environmental monitoring deviations.
Recruit and supervise a staff of direct reports that work with contract cleaners.
Tracks material, labor, and overtime costs associated with cleaning activities.
Maintain relationship with third party vendors that provide gowning supplies.
Perform SAP consumption transactions for cleaning supplies.
Works on routine manufacturing assignments as well as other assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
Routinely works second shift hours between 3:00pm – 12:00am and some weekends.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Education: High school diploma is required, Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
Experience: High school diploma and 2+ years of cGMP cleaning experience or a Bachelor's degree and 0+ years of cGMP cleaning experience
