DHL Express has an opening for aStation Service Manager at our Redondo Beach ,CA location. The Station Services Manager will provide operational management and support to ensure efficient and timely pick-up and delivery handling of customer materials and shipments. He/she will ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.
Salary range is between 107,900-143,800.
Key Tasks &Accountabilities:
oResponsible for overall efficient and effectiveService Center operations regarding pick-up and delivery personnel and services
oEnsures all material is picked up and deliveredfrom/to all area accounts in accordance with DHL guidelines, customer expectations and governmentregulations
oEnsures safe, efficient and timely handling andtransportation of all customer materials
oDevelops operations plans and budgets based ongoals and objectives
oWorks with sales management to promote salesgrowth by advising on customer activities and achieving specific customer calltargets
oMay manage, coach, and train salesrepresentatives in smaller locations
oMay ensure compliance with import/exportregulations, duties, and tariffs in some markets
oSupervises two or more staff; responsible forhiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff
oAssigns work, sets completion dates, reviewswork, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies,procedures, and performance management processes
Skill & Qualifications:
oTypically requires BS/BA and 6-8 years\u2019 experience inrelated field, including at least 2 years of supervisoryexperience ormilitary leadership MOS experience
oHas extensive depth of expertise and knowledgein specializedfunctions or business areas
oA thorough understanding of specific aspects ofworksupervised and practical application to problems and situationsordinarilyencountered
oDevelops advanced concepts, techniques, andstandards
oDevelops new applications based on professionalprinciplesand theories
oViewed as expert in functional or business areawithinDHL
oDeals with cross-cultural tactical issues
oProfessional certification required in someareas
