DHL Express has an opening for a Station Service Manager at our Redondo Beach ,CA location. The Station Services Manager will provide operational management and support to ensure efficient and timely pick-up and delivery handling of customer materials and shipments. He/she will ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.
Salary range is between 107,900-143,800.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities:
o Responsible for overall efficient and effective Service Center operations regarding pick-up and delivery personnel and services
o Ensures all material is picked up and delivered from/to all area accounts in accordance with DHL guidelines, customer expectations and government regulations
o Ensures safe, efficient and timely handling and transportation of all customer materials
o Develops operations plans and budgets based on goals and objectives
o Works with sales management to promote sales growth by advising on customer activities and achieving specific customer call targets
o May manage, coach, and train sales representatives in smaller locations
o May ensure compliance with import/export regulations, duties, and tariffs in some markets
o Supervises two or more staff; responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff
o Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes
Skill & Qualifications:
o Typically requires BS/BA and 6-8 years’ experience inrelated field, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience ormilitary leadership MOS experience
o Has extensive depth of expertise and knowledge in specializedfunctions or business areas
o A thorough understanding of specific aspects of worksupervised and practical application to problems and situationsordinarily encountered
o Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards
o Develops new applications based on professional principlesand theories
o Viewed as expert in functional or business area withinDHL
o Deals with cross-cultural tactical issues
o Professional certification required in some areas
