JOB SUMMARY
The Policy Management Analyst supports district personnel in writing, formatting, analyzing, and editing board agenda items, administrative regulations, exhibits, and local board policies. The Policy Management Analyst serves as a district resource on board policies, administrative regulations, and policy-related board agenda items. Helps operate and maintain software used in production of board agendas.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
List most important duties first 1. Reviews and edits board agenda items and their attachments. Maintains a historical record of files. 2. Prepares and publishes board agenda packets and notices of board meetings, board committee meetings, and other meetings as needed. 3. Attends board meetings and operates software that controls public displays, board voting, and creation of minutes. 4. Assists with maintenance of, and revisions to, board policy and associated requirements of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) policy service. Works with departments to update policies in accordance with TASB-recommended policy updates. Works with departments and administrators to identify needed changes and amend policies as identified by departments, administration, and the School Board.

5. Composes, analyzes, and edits administrative regulation documents, including analyzing procedures in relation to board policies; identifies areas that require additional documentation and makes appropriate proposals. Reviews documents for organization, standardized format and grammar. Maintains a historical record of files. Prepares documents for approval by the Superintendent and the Cabinet. 6. Conducts research and analysis of district policies and procedures and applicable federal and state guidelines to provide assistance and documentation to persons requesting information about the district and its programs. 7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE
3 to 5 years
SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Strong writing and editing skills are required. SAP, HTML, Microsoft Office Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice and training to staff.
WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis.

Responds promptly and accurately to customer complaints, inquiries, and requests for information and coordinates appropriate follow-up. May handle escalated issues passed on from coworkers.
WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements. Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds.
