Under supervision of the Custodial Assistant Superintendent, the incumbent cleans both internal and external campus spaces. Loads and unloads trash receptacles, collects and transports recyclable materials. Fills soap and towel dispensers, reports on building equipment and supply needs, ensures the security of assigned spaces, performs specialized cleaning in laboratory and medical spaces, and moves, sets up, and takes down furniture and appliances as required.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $21.52 - $28.95 (Hourly Rate).

University and/or Medical Center experience
Current valid California Driver’s License
Six (6) months in a custodial cleaning operations, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Ability to read and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
Ability to speak clearly in English; Ability to follow written and oral instruction in English.
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
Ability to use powered and manual floor-cleaning and polishing equipment; ability to use dollies, hoists, and other moving aids
Knowledge and ability to apply appropriate cleaning methods, including specialized procedures and techniques for laboratory and medical spaces
Knowledge of applicable security regulations and the ability to follow established security protocoll
Background check and Occupational Health clearance required
