Job Description:
As part of the Talent Development Team, this role will report to the Director, Talent Development, and partner to develop and embed holistic talent development programs and processes across the organization.
The Senior Talent Development Specialist is primarily responsible for the administration and facilitation (70%) of the Everest Core Professional Development programs. The Senior Talent Development Specialist is also aligned (30%) to the development of core and common corporate-wide Talent Development programs.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record as a Talent Development professional with proven accomplishments assisting with and facilitating talent and learning programs.
This is a hybrid-eligible position working 3 days onsite, 2 remote in our Warren, NJ office.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and deliver in-house (and where appropriate with expert third parties), a blended approach to learning & development, including but not limited to – one-on-one coaching, classroom/workshop training and online training
Compile handbooks, manuals, guides, and other materials so training programs are delivered with high quality resources
Plans, coordinates, schedules, and evaluates learning and training events
Research, initiate, and manage third-party vendor relationships
Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with leaders and managers to ensure that coaching and development provided is reinforced through ongoing performance management
Maintain and analyze organization and individual training records; monitor the effectiveness of internal and external training programs
Follow-up with employees through surveys, interviews, or evaluations to identify gaps and any future training needs
Provide senior leadership with ongoing reporting and analysis of developmental activities
Collaborates and works effectively with all team members
May perform all other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
At least 5-7 years of experience in learning & development
Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and implementing instructor-led and e-learning programs
Experience incorporating adult learning principles, learning styles, and training-delivery platforms
At least 5 years of experience in the commercial insurance industry
Proven success as self-starter who takes ownership of training projects
The ability to manage responsibilities and changing priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and time-critical environment
Strong communication skills, i.e., be a skilled facilitator who consistently demonstrates strong listening skills, effective questioning techniques, and the ability to engage employees in learning and transfer complex knowledge
Culturally sensitive to a diverse population and creates an inclusive classroom environment.
The ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with HR Talent Development team and stakeholders to meet business objectives
Passion for continuous learning and best practices in the field
Experience using technologies such as: Proficiency with WebEx and Teams.
Proficiency with Office 365 – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
Experience with Workday or LMS preferred.
Continuous learner staying current on trends and approaches.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed (NY, other North American locations, and EU/UK)
