Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Investigational Drug Services (IDS) Pharmacy Supervisor, incumbent performs duties on a broad scope, which require extensive experience in clinical pharmacy practice, compounding intravenous preparations, and application of clinical knowledge in investigational drug management. The individual must be self-motivated and geared to produce outcome-driven results. The individual must establish pharmacy services in infusion center, inpatient, and off-site clinic settings and work in a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care. Duties will include, but not limited to, provision of patient and/or staff education on investigational drug regimens, ensuring adherence to protocol, performing clinical monitoring, as appropriate, making drug-related recommendations/interventions based on clinical judgment, and updating patient profiles and other forms of clinical documentation. This pharmacist may participate in additional training, clinical and operational projects as assigned by the supervisor. There will be a major emphasis on oncology and non-oncology investigational medication management and building treatment plans in electronic medical record system, Epic. This pharmacist is responsible for the technical duties of the IDS pharmacy, including proper documentation and maintenance of records and data, quality control/assurance and performance improvement, inventory control, delegation of assignments amongst staff, and compliance with pertinent hospital policies and State regulations. This pharmacist may be assigned to precept pharmacy residents, students, technicians, or interns as required by the supervisor. This position is a Direct Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy.

Salary Range:
Annual Rate Minimum $169,002.72 Midpoint $185,497.92 Maximum $201,972.24
Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy
Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy
Four years of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist in inpatient or Ambulatory Oncology pharmacy setting or completion of PGY-1 residency and Board of Pharmacy Specialties board certification along with IDS pharmacy experience by time of hire
Pharm.D. required
Hospital PGY-1 pharmacy residency required
Experience with Epic EMR system required
Knowledge and abilities necessary for the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
Current BLS or ACLS certification
Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
IDS experience, PGY-2 residency, or Board of Pharmacy Specialties board certification highly desirable
