Job Summaries:
Guest Services Staff will act as the primary provider of direct services to guests when they are in a venue. They are responsible for providing a safe environment for all guests beginning the moment they enter the facility. The incumbent will provide a variety of customer service duties on behalf of the venue for its guests, in an expert, professional and friendly manner.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer guest questions, direct guests to important areas of the venue (restrooms, ATM, coat checks, VIP areas, and concert area) and provide additional assistance whenever necessary.
- Operate the various coat check rooms within established guidelines and procedures at the venue.
- Scan tickets for entry into the venue, administer applicable wristbands for event entrance (21+, VIP Access, Private Event Access).
- Great guests and resolve guest complaints, escalating concerns as necessary. Monitor guest conduct to ensure a safe and secure environment for all. Monitor the consumption of alcohol to ensure no under-age drinking is taking place and those guests consuming beverages are doing so responsibly.
- Seat guests and assist ADA patrons.
- Enforce all policies and procedures of the venue. Complete all company and venue required trainings and participate in employee meetings.
- Act as a member of the emergency evacuation team by communicating with and directing guests during a facility emergency.
- Monitor venue during guest arrival and exit to comply with fire department safety regulations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by Management and Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience
- Ability to work in varying conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
- Positive attitude with superior customer service skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time

Security Staff will maintain the safety of all employees, guests and clients at AEG Presents shows, events, festivals, tours, one-offs and venues through constant patrol, observation and documentation. This position will be first point of contact for all security related issues and will control the diffusion of incidents at the venue. The Security Officer will also assist with customer service requests.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor assigned area of venue on foot. Observe, report, and control ongoing activity keeping track of unusual occurrences. Assist with the ejection or control of unruly, disruptive, intoxicated guests.
- Monitor entry and access point for the venue. Ensure all guests and employees have appropriate access to be in each specific area.
- Escort artists, VIPs, guests and employees to protect and prevent unwanted attention, disruption, incident or injury.
- Respond immediately to fire control center to locate, acknowledge and silence alarm. Check signal area, report and reset alarm. Enact fire safety/evacuations when necessary.
- Respond, observe and document all medical situations and request EMT/medical personnel. Assist with minor first aid situations. Coordinate transportation for friends and family of afflicted when necessary.
- Assist with all customer service needs before, during and after each show, including: directions, instructions, information, escorts and medical.
- Screen and confirm all employees, vendors, delivery personnel, guests and artists entering venue to ensure appropriate access. Review and verity documentation to ensure validity.
- Log all activity, movement and repairs in appropriate log ensuring all incidents are accurately documented.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
- 1 – 2 years of related work experience.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert organizational, leadership and time management skills.
- Ability to qualify and be issued a security officer license.
- Must be able to work long hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
- CPR and AED certification.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations with good understanding of right and wrong.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of music industry and live events preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Guard Card.

The Roxy Pay Scale: $19.61/hr
Porter position if one of the most critical behind the scenes positions at Rough Trade, responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of all areas of the venue including the main floor, mezzanine, backstage, bathrooms, bars, etc. The porter is also responsible for basic building upkeep and maintenance including changing lightbulbs, basic light construction tasks, painting, restocking cleaning supplies, and more as needed. An ideal candidate is trustworthy, self-reliant, and responsible.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Post event cleaning: follow procedures and cleaning routines as scheduled for sweeping/mopping, emptying trash cans and replacing liners, wiping down surface areas, clean-up spills and fluids, and ensuring general cleanliness and quality standards are met before the next event arrives.
- Perform maintenance as needed including changing lightbulbs, painting, light construction, repair, and more as assigned.
- Restock and reorder supplies as needed, manifest and report large scale repair needs and ensure the general upkeep of the venue from a maintenance perspective.
- Complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines & deadlines set by Supervisors and Event Manager.
- Inspect assigned work area prior to and during event, looking for safety hazards, facility issues, housekeeping needs, personal injuries, etc. Report issues to Supervisor or Event Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience.
- Reliable, punctual, and regular in attendance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
- Ability to take direction and work well with others.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time (4-6 hours per shift) and lift tables, chairs, etc.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Roxy Pay Scale: $19.61/hr
Production (Audio, Lighting, Video) will assist in all areas of production for venue events. The Production staff will serve as the main point of contact for shows, communicating with staff, vendors, security and artist management. Additionally, the position is responsible for coordinating and advancing production needs and requirements for all shows, and oversees all stage and technical needs including lighting, sound, A/V, equipment and venue maintenance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for set up, operation and maintenance of venue lighting system. Operate lights during shows configuring color and tone to ensure artist’s vision and mood are achieved.
- Responsible for set up, operation and maintenance of venue sound system. Operate sound system during shows and confirm that microphones and speakers are functioning.
- Serve as back-up for A/V and PA systems. Responsible for set up, operation and maintenance of A/V system. Maintain the public announcement system in optimal working condition. Operate PA during shows if Sound Engineer is absent.
- Venue maintenance including lighting, sound, stage and equipment. Responsible for stage maintenance: sweep, mop, paint touch-ups on flooring as needed throughout the year and buff and paint entire floor once a year.
- Responsible for set up and break down of equipment on stage. Load/unload equipment from trucks and set up equipment according to stage design while ensuring safety requirements are met.
- May be responsible for production and operations aspects including vendor end-to-end onsite set up: exhibitor registration and follow-up survey.
- Serve as the primary liaison between vendors, artists, sounds crews, and property management companies in execution of shows and events
QUALIFICATIONS
- .A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency (Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree Preferred)
- 2-4 years of related work experience.
- Ability operate light and sound systems and plan for live production events.
- Working knowledge of stand tools and equipment of the trade.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Office Professional Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Experience working at festivals.

Stage Managers will oversee the on-stage production and direct the stage crew by assigning duties and ensure maintenance of the stage and work area for events. This position will ensure operations of systems are functioning properly during the show while ensuring the safety of all local staff, artists, and patrons with respect to all production elements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee on-stage production and communicate any changes to run of show or other planned production elements to other departments (i.e. Operations Manager, General Manager, Security). Call show cues for audio and lighting as needed and ensure operations of systems (i.e. lighting, sound, video, etc.) are functioning properly.
- Ensure the stage crew maintains the stage and work area for events while ensuring adherence to all SFFD, OSHA, and ADA requirements in addition to the safety of all local and touring staff, artists, patrons with respect to all production elements.
- Oversee and manage load in and load out operation of multiple artists productions in addition to artist trucks and vehicles coming and going to loading dock.
- Direct the work of Stagehands by assigning duties such as assembling and disassembling of equipment at the beginning and end of performances, loading and unloading of equipment, and managing time and attendance in addition to scheduling breaks in accordance to local wage and hour laws.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience.
- Forklift and heavy machinery certified.
- Must have a valid driver’s license if venue location requires driving.
- Knowledge of OSHA/ADA laws and regulations.
- Exceptional management or leadership background with demonstrated success in team building.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Fonda Pay Scale: $24/hr
Stagehands is responsible for performing all setup before, during, and after events which includes, but is not limited to, assembling and disassembling production equipment on stage. In addition, the stagehand will work closely with and assist carpenters with scenery build, installation, video, sound and light production.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for assembling and setting up at the beginning of the scene (i.e. props, microphones, musical instruments, scenery, etc), disassembling and removing equipment at the end of the scene in addition to cleaning up the stage and backstage area after performances.
- Load and unload equipment from trucks and set up equipment according to stage design while ensuring safety requirements are met.
- Assist carpenters with scenery build and installation of stage maintenance, construct and paint set pieces, move and rearrange furniture.
- Work closely with electricians and lighting assistants with maintenance of video, sound, and light production. Ensure operations of systems are functioning properly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience.
- Previous experience with manual labor preferred.
- Forklift and heavy machinery certified.
- Must have a valid driver’s license if venue location requires driving.
- Must be able to take direction and execute instructions accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Fonda Pay Scale: $18.50/hr- $19.50/hr
