The Senior Manager, Functional Product Lead (Web & Commerce) is responsible for leading the technical team in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining our B2C and B2B eCommerce solutions using SiteCore and Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware) and B2B Commerce on Core. To execute on business needs, this role leverages a strong understanding of the full technology stack, including various key capabilities in commerce such as Product Information Management (PIM), Search, Content Management System (CMS), Payment, Fraud, Shipping, Tax, and Order Management. This role also leads integration with back-office ERP systems like SAP, using a strong understanding of an IPass integration approach.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Product Strategy:
- Collaborate with IT Leadership, Product Management, UX/UI Designers, and other stakeholders to define and implement the technical roadmap for the digital commerce platform.
- Identify opportunities to leverage and enhance the product features and capabilities to optimize the value and experience for the end users.
- Support development of the annual roadmap and budget for the Digital commerce area; manage costs against approved budget.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital commerce to ensure the eCommerce platform remains competitive and innovative.
Product Management:
- Oversee the backlog of requests and prioritizes with necessary IT and business stakeholders.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycles of Digital Commerce technology products including design, development, maintenance, and de-commissioning.
- Govern cross-functional team members to ensure seamless delivery of planned releases.
- Leverage agile methodologies to drive to regular releases that provide optimal value to the Brother team.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to improve user experience and reduce technical debt.
- Define, analyze, and report on metrics that inform the success and quality of Digital Commerce products and features.
- Ensure the eCommerce platform adheres to best practices in security, performance, and accessibility.
- Oversee the integration of the eCommerce platform with back-office ERP systems like SAP, ensuring seamless data flow and business process automation.
- Lead the development and implementation of custom features and functionality, including APIs, web services, and integrations with third-party applications.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and develop the technical skills of the digital commerce team, providing guidance and support for career growth and professional development.
- Provide coaching, support, and professional development opportunities to team members, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team, creating a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Vendor Management:
- Manage and optimize the governance structure in place to oversee all vendor delivery and services.
- Provide metric-based scorecard to ensure resources are optimized and any issues are proactively addressed.
- Monitor vendors costs against budget and identifies opportunities to reduce costs.
- Assess vendor risks and strategic alignment throughout the lifecycle of the vendor relationship and identify alternative vendor partners as needed.
Technical Expertise:
- Be an advocate for the digital web technology platforms and tools at Brother.
- Maintain deep understanding of the digital web market, competitive landscape and solution ecosystem.
- Participate in architecture discussions and assessments.
Capacity Management:
- Ensure teams are forecasting demand (across incidents, maintenance, enhancements and projects) and adjusting based on trends and priority changes.
- Maximize resource capacity by leveraging internal and external resources and cross-functional collaboration.
- Identify resource constraints or risks and provide mitigation options to ensure effective and efficient operations in the Digital Commerce team.

ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

Education
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Master's Degree (Preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 8 years A combination of experience spanning the following areas:
- Experience managing digital commerce technology – such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C & B2B), SAP Hybris, Sitecore, Magneto, and/or Shopify.
- Experience managing content management system (CSM) technology such as Amplience CMS, Salesforce CMS, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), etc.
- Experience with web hosting technologies (.NET, Java, JavaScripting) and B2B with consumer goods experience.
- Experience in cybersecurity, compliance, application security, and data privacy.
- Experience managing & leading a team.
Software/Technical Skills
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C & B2B), SAP Hybris, Sitecore, Magento or Shopify
- Knowledge of content management system (CMS) such as Amplience CMS, Salesforce CMS, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) etc.
- Knowledge of web hosting technologies (.NET, Java, JavaScripting) and B2B with consumer goods experience
- Strong technical proficiency in front-end and back-end web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side languages such as Java
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, application security and data privacy
- Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles and best practices

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid
- The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 per year.
- Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data.
