Our work depends on a Sr. Behavioral Scientist to develop, lead, and operate Insider Threat programs at Federal agencies. As a Sr. Behavioral Scientist, you will implement GDIT’s cutting-edge Insider Threat technologies and processes to enhance the protection of our nation’s high-value assets and mission-critical data. The ideal candidate has experience with Insider Threat programs and tools in the Federal sector.

Investigates and advises management regarding feasibility of new projects, systems, or approaches.
Analyzes problems and applies theoretical techniques to develop solutions.
Analyzes and organizes technical data and reports into summaries for management review.
Prepares technical reports, manuals, and procedures.
Defines and describes scientific tests to be performed.
Leads test programs and prepares reports of test results.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Qualifications:
Required Education: Ph.D and 10+ years of relevant experience.
Experience applying User Behavior Analytics techniques, technologies, and processes to insider threat programs within the Financial Services Industry or US Intelligence Community.
Experience developing approaches successfully deter, detect, and mitigate near and long-term cyber threats from User Behavior Analytics.
Experience designing experiments and analysis to answer targeted questions related to cyber security, fraud analytics, and risk management.
Experience implementing User Behavior Analytics governance processes; specifically, the discipline to organize reporting, analytics and manipulate data to support analytical models and filters.
Expertise performing innovative deep data analysis across a wide range of IT systems to identify anomalous activity by privileged and nonprivileged users.
Experience analyzing big data using sophisticated analytical and algorithmic techniques.
Recommended Skills and Abilities:

Location: DC metro area preferred but remote applicants considered. Team members living in the DC metro need to travel to client sites at the discretion of the government lead. The Government site is in Lanham, MD.
